God Tracks

Heb 11:6 (Phi) ...Without faith it is impossible to please him. The man who approaches God must have faith in two things, first that God exists and secondly that he rewards those who search for him.

  • A.W. Tozer: "Without faith it is impossible to please God, but not all "faith" pleases God. Faith in faith is faith astray. To hope for heaven by means of such faith is to drive in the dark across a deep chasm on a bridge that does not quite reach the other side."
  • You Can Fly!

  • In 1904, when "Peter Pan" began playing in London, children were enthralled by the flying hero of Never-Never Land. So thrilled, in fact, that they wanted to be just like him: "If you only believe, you can fly!" When J. M. Barrie, the writer of "Peter Pan", began hearing from distraught parents whose children had injured themselves by attempting to fly, he changed the script so that Tinkerbell's fairy dust was needed in order to fly.

  • Real Faith Teaching...

John 20:26-27 (NIV) Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

1 Tim 1:5-7 (NIV) The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith. Some have wandered away from these and turned to meaningless talk. They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.

Gal 3:23-25 (Phi) Before the coming of this faith we were all imprisoned under the power of the Law, with our only hope of deliverance the faith that was to be shown to us. The Law was like a strict tutor in charge of us until we went to the school of Christ and learned to be justified by faith in him. Once we have that faith we are completely free from the tutor's authority.
